The laundry room and mud room floor is done, the whole house generator was delivered, trim is being painted/stained/installed, and the master bathroom was finished. We put grab bars in the shower for ease of use as we get older.
We drove up today and found the flooring guys almost done with the engineered hardwood floors and the garage doors were being installed. We also have working lights and ceiling fans.
The grass seed that the builder put down is taking off. We are going to have to cut the grass before the house is done. The fireplace is done, the back porches are done, and we marked the back yard where we want a wooden fence for our dog.
We drove up this morning to find a lot happening. The back porch was getting screened and steps made to the patio, a stoop and steps were being made for the mudroom door to the backyard, the trim carpenter was doing all of the odds and ends that need to be finished, the kitchen counter tops were delivered and installed, and the stone masons were finishing the stone work on the fireplace.
Concrete was poured for the front porch, sidewalk, back patio, and generator pad. The front yard is getting graded and the the final stone was going on the driveway. The old existing garage/apartment is getting a face lift with new siding and a new roof to match the new house. The kitchen counter was laser measured. The master bathroom tile work has started.
A new driveway was cut along with a future sidewalk and back patio. Concrete will be poured on the sidewalk and back patio next week, and stone will be added to the driveway. Kitchen cabinets are being installed. Light fixtures are being hung. The well water pressure tank and iron/sulfur filter were also installed.
The exterior stonework is complete and the stone mason has started putting the stone around the interior fireplace. The heat pump has been installed and work has started on getting water into the house after the well water is tested and a filter is installed. The painters are finishing up inside. The electrician will start installing the lights next week and the kitchen cabinets are supposed to be installed next week.
The Hardie board siding is complete and the stone masons have started the stone facing on the house. The painters have started painting on the interior. And a woodpecker decided to check out his new neighbor.
